FIRST DISTRICT
FEDERATED GARDEN CLUBS OF NEW YORK STATE
First District, Federated Garden Clubs of New York State is one of 10 Districts of New York State Federated Garden Clubs, Inc. Our District is a coordinating body for Federated Garden Clubs located on Staten Island, NY. In addition to coordinating activities of our four clubs, First District itself engages in several projects during the year including an annual flower show, the Blue Star Memorial program maintenance of the Healing Garden. We hold a flower show each year as well as District luncheons in the Spring and the Fall.
FGCNYS is a member of the Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs whose mission is to promote the love of gardening, floral design and environmental responsibility.
The District Board is composed of the District Officers, Club Presidents and several Chairpersons. Meetings are held at the Knights of Columbus Hall and are generally only open to Board members. Our email address is SIGardenClubs@gmail.com.
